The Green Party's spokespersons begin their election tour with a press conference where they present the party's election manifesto and priority policies for the coming years.
The focus is on a "just transition" with three keywords: climate, equality and nature.
Electric car offensive
This includes upgrading the railways "so that trains run on time", ensuring that "everyone can afford to switch to an electric car" and expanding charging infrastructure in what Lind describes as the party's "electric car offensive".
With the Tidö parties at the helm, we can see that we have become increasingly off course, says Lind.
She accuses the four parties of having increased both emissions and the gaps in society. The gaps will also be reduced if the Green Party is given power, says spokesperson Daniel Helldén. The party wants, among other things, to increase child benefit and introduce a special supplement for single parents, as well as strengthen housing benefit.
The MP also proposes a tax on the very richest.
Those with the greatest financial resources should also take greater responsibility. That is why the Green Party wants to introduce a tax for the super-rich, says Helldén.
In addition to such a tax, the MP also wants to finance its proposals through reprioritisation and by borrowing for climate measures and infrastructure.
“We are needed”
According to Amanda Lind, the overall picture is the most important thing in any government negotiations after the election. She does not want to mention any ultimate demands, but the party is going to the election on the basis of changing the government and policies, according to Lind.
Climate change is of course a high priority, ensuring that we break the Swedes' fossil fuel dependence while at the same time strengthening households and creating jobs throughout the country.
Amanda Lind does not believe that other parties have a climate policy that is sufficient.
"It is no coincidence that the Green Party has the strongest confidence in this area. It is obvious that we are needed in a government for an adequate climate policy," she says.
