Police officers in Växjö were forced to go to hospital overnight for a check-up after a green laser was pointed at them. The incident follows several incidents where green lasers were used on Saturday.

All police officers from the patrol have been allowed to leave the hospital, the police write on their website.

During Saturday afternoon and evening, several vehicles and people in Gothenburg were also exposed to green lasers - which led, among other things, to Västtrafik's ferries on the Göta Älv being cancelled until Sunday morning after ferry personnel were exposed.

The police later believed they could locate an apartment in connection with the green laser from Karlatornet.

There, some young people were checked and then they stated that another young person had left shortly before. No laser pointer was found, says police spokesperson Johan Håkansson.

No one was injured and no one is suspected of any crime.
