U.S. police arrested Jacobs after being called to a disturbance in Wisconsin. The 28-year-old, who is a major star in the NFL, is suspected of assault, vandalism and unlawful threats, among other things.
"We are aware of the situation surrounding Josh Jacobs. As this is an ongoing legal situation, we will not comment further," the Green Bay Packers said in a statement.
Jacobs denies all allegations.
The 28-year-old is ranked as one of the league's best running backs. He is in his third season with the Green Bay Packers and his eighth NFL season overall.
