Greece is introducing a ban on social media use for children under the age of 15, the country's Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced.
The ban will take effect on January 1, 2027.
"We have decided to move forward with a difficult but necessary measure," he said in a statement on TikTok, according to the AFP news agency.
Several EU countries, including Spain and Denmark, have recently promised similar measures targeting the popular platforms, and the issue is also being investigated in Sweden.
