The UN agency UNESCO has monitored the reef annually since 2021, when it warned that it was at risk of being placed on the World Heritage in Danger list.
A draft new report from UNESCO notes Australia's work on climate change, water quality, sustainable fisheries management and land clearing, and says the reef avoids being placed on the list.
The draft decision will be considered by the World Heritage Committee within a few weeks.
