40-year-old "Granen" has coached Ängelholm in Ettan Södra for the past two seasons, the same league that Trelleborg will end up in next year after their relegation.
"The experience from the leagues I have played in, the intensity in England, the tactical in Italy, the man-man game in the Netherlands and the mix of basically everything in Russia, means that my influences are very broad," says Andreas Granqvist to Trelleborg's website after signing a two-year contract with the club.
It has been just over four years since Granqvist hung up his football boots in Helsingborg, where he then continued as sports director until he was fired from the club in his heart in the spring of 2023.
