The release of the TV game Grand Theft Auto VI is being delayed, announces game developer Rockstar Games. The new date is set to May 26, 2026.
The eagerly awaited game was announced as early as 2023 and was supposed to be released in the fall of 2025.
"We hope you have an understanding of why we need this extra time to deliver what you expect and deserve", writes Rockstar Games in a press release.
Grand Theft Auto VI is the sixteenth game in the immensely popular GTA series, where the player moves in an open urban world and completes various missions.
The games have been sold in hundreds of millions of copies since the start.
