The audience at Stockholm Stadium cheered loudly when Femke Bol won the women's 400 meter hurdles on a stadium record of 52.11.
On sixth place, Swedish talent Moa Granat finished on 55.37. Thus, she improved her time from competitions in Finland earlier in the week when she ran on 55.68, the fastest Swedish race on 400 meter hurdles in 26 years.
I have worked on my speed, tried to increase my capacity when it comes to sprint speed, to maintain a higher tempo longer. I think it has given results, she says to SVT.
Femke Bol praises the 20-year-old.
It's fantastic to see her. Last year she was also here (at the Stockholm Diamond League gala). I think she has improved a lot, says the Dutchwoman.
The Swede, on the other hand, has not asked the reigning World and European Champion on the distance for advice.
She has not asked yet. But who knows, maybe someday she will do it, says Bol and continues:
We (runners) are not like the pole vaulters who are together for three hours, but we are quite focused on our race. But we can always talk.
