Sweden's new national team captain Graham Potter comes from a long time in Premier League – where the salaries are high. He knew what he was getting into, says football manager Kim Källström about what the association could offer.

Already last week, Graham Potter opened up to training the Swedish national football team, and considering his career, the salary was not in focus.

It has meant that I am financially in a very good position. It has reached the level that I do not have to consider the economy as a reason to take a job or not, he said to TV4 Football Channel.

Football manager Kim Källström says that the association and Potter quickly agreed.

He obviously had an idea of approximately what we can pay, so we were quite quickly in the same field and discussed, he says to TT and continues:

I thought I would say that it was an easy negotiation, it never is, but it felt like we were on the same wavelength very quickly. He knew what he was getting into.

Graham Potter has trained Brighton, Chelsea and West Ham in the English top division.
