Several people have been killed in Russian attacks on a market in the Donetsk region, the governor says.

At least seven people were killed and eight injured in attacks on the city of Druzhkivka on Wednesday, Donetsk Governor Vadym Filashkin said on Telegram.

"The Russians shelled the city with cluster munitions and directly hit the market, where there are always large crowds in the morning," he said.

A 68-year-old woman and a 38-year-old man were also killed in a nighttime Russian drone strike on an area east of the city of Dnipro in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the local governor said on Telegram.

Another man and a woman were injured in the attack. Residential buildings, a power line and an administrative building were also damaged.
