The government's aim is to increase mobility in the housing market.
"The housing market needs to be characterised by mobility and flexibility. In order for people to be able to move when their life situation changes, taxes must not stand in the way. That is why we are now reviewing relocation taxes with the aim of creating a more well-functioning housing market," says Finance Minister Elisabeth Svantesson (M) in a press release.
