A 17-year-old girl was killed and two boys were seriously injured when a young man attacked with a sword at a high school in Fagersta last Friday.
Now the government is appointing a school crime commission.
It will propose new measures to prevent future school crimes, says Simona Mohamsson at a press conference.
The School Crime Commission was presented on Monday on Svenska Dagbladet's debate page.
Among other things, the commission will analyse all Swedish school shootings over the past fifteen years, but will also review investigations into shootings in, for example, Finland.
The authorities must get better at "discovering whether someone is truly dangerous," write Ulf Kristersson (M), Ebba Busch (KD) and Simona Mohamsson (L).
"Many of us in Sweden - not least parents - woke up on Saturday morning with the feeling that enough is enough. Not once again. We will therefore already appoint a School Crime Commission," the party leaders write.
The school shooting in Fagersta occurred despite several measures taken in recent years to strengthen school safety, notes Simona Mohamsson.
