The European Football Association, Uefa, will announce who will be awarded the championship on December 3.
We are entering a final stage and we really want to show that this is an important thing for Sweden, says Forssmed.
He believes that Sweden and Denmark have a good chance of hosting the tournament.
The Danish and Swedish football associations submitted their final application to UEFA in August, which included the identification of potential venues. Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) and Forssmed wrote a letter of support for the application in the spring.
–Now we are also sending a message that we are positive about the possibility of supporting such an event financially if Sweden and Denmark were to win the European Football Championship, says Forssmed.
We have not decided on an exact figure, but an indication is that it is on par with what the Danes have communicated.
DN reported this summer that the Danish government has initially promised financial support of 15 million for the application.
Denmark and Sweden's competitors for the right to host the European Championships are Germany, Poland and Portugal.
