Sometimes densification may be a good thing, but it must be done based on the wishes and will of the residents in the area; this cannot be forced from above, says Minister for Infrastructure and Housing Andreas Carlson (KD) at a press conference.
The investigator is also tasked with making suggestions on how single-family homeowners can gain greater influence over municipalities.
We must put a stop to, and increase protection against, building high-rise apartment buildings and densifying these types of areas against the will of families, says Carlson.
The investigator will, among other things, make proposals for possible changes to the Planning and Building Act. The investigation is due to be completed by April 2 next year.
