Gothenburg’s Mount Rushmore: Four local stars recreated in chocolate sculpture

The US has Mount Rushmore, with the heads of four presidents carved in granite. Now Gothenburg has a similar monument, featuring four of the city’s biggest names - in chocolate.

A chocolate sculpture of Håkan Hellström, Tomas von Brömssen, Claes Malmberg and Lotta Engberg was unveiled at Kungsportpalatset, where the dinner show venue Wallmans Salonger has set up for a guest appearance.

The sculpture was created by pastry chef Jimmy Wollberg, who used more than 100 kilos of chocolate. Wallmans asked its followers on social media to vote for which artists should be depicted. Miriam Bryant, Lasse Kronér and Arvingarna were among the other suggestions, but the quartet featured in the sculpture received the most votes.
