The clothing company Nakd has applied for reconstruction and the Göteborg District Court has approved the process, reports Breakit.

According to CEO Mattias Jacobsson, one of the reasons is "Stranded negotiations with lenders".

Nakd was founded ten years ago in Göteborg and has been struggling with large debts for several years. In 2023, Nakd had a turnover of approximately 2 billion kronor and made a loss before tax of 308 million kronor.

"After failed attempts to get out of rental contracts in combination with stranded negotiations with lenders, the board has made the tough but necessary decision to put the company into reconstruction", writes Mattias Jacobsson in a press release.
