”The Black Rider” had its world premiere in 1990 after the American director and theatre man Robert Wilson asked Tom Waits to make music for Burroughs' book.
In 1997, Rickard Günther put up ”The Black Rider” on Dramaten's Elverket stage where Staffan Göthe played the role of the devil.
The production at Folkteatern will have its premiere in February 2026.
