Augustinsson played the entire match when Anderlecht lost to Genk in the Belgian league on Tuesday. He received a blow to the head at the end of the match and had to visit the hospital after the match.

This is reported by the site DH Sports, according to TV4 Fotbollskanalen.

Anderlecht's coach Brian Riemer, who was fired after the loss, says that Augustinsson did not remember the end of the match and described the Swede as "visibly shaken" afterwards.

Augustinsson was missing from the squad against Charleroi at the weekend and is not selected for the squad for Wednesday's meeting with Ferencvaros in the Europa League.

The national team's head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson will announce the squad for the away matches against Slovakia (October 11) and Estonia (October 14) in the Nations League next Wednesday.

Augustinsson played the entire match against Azerbaijan (3–1) in the NL premiere but was benched against Estonia (3–0).

He has played 56 international matches.
