The deal means that Torsboda Industrial Park has been sold to Google, according to a press release from Sundsvall Municipality, which owns the park together with Timrå Municipality.
In such cases, the project is estimated to create 500 jobs once the facility is in operation, and more during the construction period, according to the municipality.
If all decisions and plans go as expected, the municipality expects the deal to be completed this fall.
"Although we currently have no set construction plans or confirmed timeline for development, we look forward to working closely with local stakeholders during the next steps in the process," Google wrote in a comment.
