The deal is expected to give Anthropic over a gigawatt in data power and gives the company the opportunity to continue developing the AI program Claude.
Anthropic's AI system also uses chips from Nvidia. Amazon has invested 8 billion dollars in Anthropic and delivers cloud services to the company.
Anthropic was started in 2021 by former employees of Open AI and Claude is a competitor to Chat GPT. In September, the company was valued at around 183 billion dollars, equivalent to just over 1,700 billion Swedish kronor.
