Higher sales prices and at the same time lower costs for feed and fuel as well as lower interest costs have had a positive impact.
Dairy and pig farmers have had a "very strong year in terms of profitability."
"Produced prices have been pleasingly higher in 2025 for several livestock products such as milk, pork and beef, which clearly contributes to increased profitability," says Filip Olsson at the consulting company Ludvig & Co, which is partly owned by the farmers' movement, in a press release.
Next year things look worse for dairy farmers since the price of milk has been lowered, according to Ludvig & Co.
However, the stronger krona has pressured grain prices, calculated in Swedish currency, which has negatively affected revenue and profitability for crop growers.
