The woman, who is in her 60s, had her husband sign powers of attorney so she could use his money to buy a house for herself and pay off her debts.
She also allegedly tricked the man into signing a will under which she would inherit his estate, which was worth nearly ten million kronor. The will was later declared invalid by the district court, reports P4 Kronoberg.
The woman was sentenced to two years in prison for aggravated fraud and breach of trust. She must also repay just over 1.7 million kronor to the man's estate.
