Filmstaden has introduced a new ticket system. Visitors will now, as is common at theaters or concerts, choose between different price ranges.

"Price zones mean that you pay different prices depending on where you sit in the theater. The theater is divided into three zones with different price levels - seats with the best view and sound cost more, while seats further out are cheaper," Filmstaden writes on its website.

An example of a price is the tickets for the movie "Wicked: For good" in Stockholm. They can be purchased for between 209 and 159 kronor.

Irene Hernberg, Nordic PR Manager at Filmstaden, writes in an email to Expressen that the "base price" has not been increased, but that they are striving for more flexible pricing.

"So it's not a general price increase, but a way to create greater variation in price levels," she writes.
