Good news: Karlsson ready for comeback

Competition-free day in Tour de Ski – but despite that, a piece of good news comes from the skiing world. Frida Karlsson is clear for comeback after her foot injury. It will be a start in the World Cup in Les Rousses, says her coach Per Nilsson to Expressen.

Frida Karlsson was forced to withdraw from the ongoing Tour de Ski due to an overuse injury in her foot. But now comes a piece of good news: the Swedish skiing star is back. This is reported by Expressen.

Everything has gone great for Frida during Christmas. Now the next step is the World Cup in Les Rousses in two weeks, says her personal coach Per Nilsson.

The French resort will host the first World Cup competitions after the tour, 17-19 January.

The plan is for Frida to compete in both distance events there, says Nilsson.

What happens after Les Rousses is, however, more unclear at present. At least it is clear that Karlsson will skip the competitions in Falun in mid-February.

The World Championship in Trondheim takes place at the end of February/beginning of March.
