Gold Prices Reach New Heights as Trade Tariff Concerns Grow

Fears of American trade tariffs are driving up the gold price to a new record level. In the morning, gold is being traded for around 3,081 dollars per ounce, which means that gold is now heading towards a fourth consecutive week with rising prices, according to the website Trading Economics.

Gold is traditionally seen as a safe investment in uncertain times and President Donald Trump's decision on 25-percent tariffs on imports of foreign cars to the USA has increased fears that the trade war will escalate.
