The price of gold continues to rise; the spot price rose above $5,000 per ounce for the first time on Sunday, equivalent to approximately SEK 44,500.
The price of gold has seen significant increases over the past two years. The price per ounce was around $2,000 in January 2024.
Among the explanations for the price increase are higher inflation and a weakened US dollar, the AFP news agency reports.
