The accident occurred at around 4pm on Saturday at a go-kart track.
Our picture is that the driver came at high speed and drove into the curb in a curve, and was injured that way, says police spokesperson Susanna Rinaldo.
The injured person was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. According to police, the go-kart driver is seriously injured.
The accident will be investigated by police and a report of grievous bodily harm will be filed. Police will hold an interview at the scene and the go-kart will be seized for a technical examination.
