AIK's soccer players have not won away against Malmö FF in the top league since 1996, a streak that is now one year longer.

Despite the fact that it was "The Gnarl" who had the match's sharpest goal opportunity. At the beginning of the second half, AIK rolled up the home defense – and Anton Salétros got a giant opportunity to score a goal from close range. But the national team midfielder shot outside.

AIK was strong. MFF, on the other hand, had a significant playing advantage in the first half. Without managing to outsmart AIK's second national team player, Kristoffer Nordfeldt in goal.

A match with two (different) halves, says AIK's John Guidetti to Max.

About the missed giant opportunity:

Anton is a completely fantastic soccer player. Give him 100 such opportunities, I think he scores on 99.

During the last half hour, the home team was forced to manage without Pontus Jansson. The 34-year-old center-back veteran got hurt after a run and could not continue playing.

Thursday evening's meeting is actually part of the round that is played at the beginning of August. Now MFF and AIK have already met twice in this year's top league – with 0–0 as the result both times.

In the table, second-place AIK is still four points ahead of fifth-place MFF. Mjällby extended the series lead after the away win against Hammarby (2–1).
