Pittsburgh's goalie Alex Nedeljkovic nailed the final score 5–2 in an open net when his team took an important away win against Buffalo.
Additionally, he was credited with an assist, making him the first goalie in NHL history to score both a goal and an assist in a single match.
The visitors were down 0–1 after the first period, but after Rickard Rakell scored the equalizer in a power play at the beginning of the middle act, Pittsburgh managed to take control and scored three more goals in a row.
The home team managed to reduce the score with just over five minutes left of the third, but didn't get any closer, instead Nedeljkovic could score when the clock showed 17.18.
The win was important for Pittsburgh, who had suffered three straight losses before the meeting.
