Series leader Björklöven is playing hard in the Swedish Hockey League. On home ice, fourth-placed Nybro were beaten 7–0.

The Umeå club has not played in the fine room since the 2000–2001 season, but after 13 rounds played, Björklöven tops the country's second highest ice hockey series.

Against fourth-placed Nybro, the 4,474 spectators in the home stadium were treated to a goal celebration. Björklöven led by a modest 1–0 after the first period before going three goals ahead in both the second and third acts. The team had seven different goal scorers in the big win.

Björklöven tops the table with 34 points. Second-placed Modo is two points behind. On Wednesday night, Modo beat sixth-placed AIK on home ice 4–3.
