The book, which according to the Hollywood Reporter will be published in the fall of 2027, will not only provide insight into the production, but also examine how "Gilmore Girls" became such a success.

The first six seasons of the TV series, about mother and daughter Lorelai and Rory Gilmore in the fictional town of Stars Hollow, aired between 2000 and 2006. A sequel followed in the form of four 90-minute films in 2016.
