GM raises full-year profit forecast to $14 billion-$16 billion on stronger margins, lower customs costs

GM cites stronger profit margins on larger vehicles and lower customs costs.

The forecast increase comes in an interim report in which GM reported a profit of $3.57 per share for the second quarter. This was better than expected. The average forecast was $3.19 per share, according to Bloomberg.

Second-quarter revenue of $48.0 billion can be compared with an average forecast of $46.6 billion.
