Global oil prices rise for second day in a row

The US dollar is also becoming more expensive, rising to 9.27 kronor per dollar, up from 9.22 on Monday.

The price of fossil gas on the Amsterdam Commodity Exchange also rose to over 47 euros per megawatt-hour.

Uncertainty surrounding a ceasefire in the war involving Iran and concerns about a continued blockade of the Strait of Hormuz - through which normally a fifth of the world's oil and gas is transported - are affecting the market.

More expensive oil and a stronger dollar normally lead to higher prices for gasoline and diesel at Swedish gas stations, while the price of gas affects electricity prices.
