He calls the event "heart-wrenching and a traumatic time" and praises the rescue services and all those who have contributed with help.

India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi says the crash is "heart-wrenching beyond words" and the UK's Prime Minister calls it "devastating", both in posts on X.

India's Minister of Aviation Ram Mohan Naidu Kinjarapu is "shocked and distraught" over the event.

Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson writes on X that it is "with deep sorrow we have taken part of the terrible plane crash in Gujarat" and that he on behalf of the Swedish government expresses the deepest sympathies with the Indian government and people.

"Our thoughts are with the passengers and their families", he writes.

The President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen also calls the news "heart-wrenching".

"My deepest condolences to the families and the close and dear who mourn this terrible loss", she writes on X and expresses European solidarity with Narendra Modi and the Indian people.
