The alarm came at 12:40. The Swedish Maritime Administration's sea and air rescue center was among the first on the scene.
– There has been one person on board this sailplane. It is unclear what was behind the plane's crash, says air rescue leader Johan Beischer to TT.
The police write on their website that the pilot was picked up from the sailplane by the rescue service with the help of an ambulance and taken to the hospital. Region Halland describes the injury situation as serious.
The rescue service tells Hallandsposten that the sailplane crashed west of the airport.
