The alarm came at 12.40. The Swedish Maritime Administration's sea and air rescue center was among the first on the scene.
– There has been one person on board this glider plane. It is unclear what was behind the plane's crash, says air rescue leader Johan Beischer to TT.
The police write on their website that the pilot was picked up from the glider plane by the rescue service with the help of an ambulance and taken to the hospital, awake and able to speak but with otherwise unknown injuries.
The rescue service tells Hallandsposten that the glider plane crashed west of the airport.
