Deniz Gül chose to reject Sweden to instead represent Turkey in national team contexts.

Now the 20-year-old, born and raised in Stockholm, has been selected for Turkey's Nations League matches.

The forward is one of nine forwards in coach Vincenzo Montella's squad for the matches against Wales on November 16 and the finale against Montenegro three days later.

Turkey tops its group in the B division with ten points, two ahead of Wales.

Gül has played for Stuvsta, Segeltorp, Brommapojkarna, AIK, Djursholm, and Hammarby. He left Hammarby last summer for Portuguese Porto. There, he has played two matches and scored one goal this fall.

Gül played six international matches for U19 last year and six for U21 this year, where he scored two goals.
