Gjert Ingebrigtsen is charged with violence in close relationships, among other things by his son and star runner Jakob Ingebrigtsen. The prosecutor is seeking two and a half years for Ingebrigtsen, who denies the crime.
While waiting for the verdict, Gjert Ingebrigtsen continues his job as a coach. On Tuesday, he was present at an athletics gala in Norwegian Bergen, where his protégé Narve Gilje Nordås came second on 3,000 meters after German Florian Bremm.
After the race, Gjert Ingebrigtsen was happy to talk about Narve Gilje Nordås' performance, but left the journalists when he got questions about the charge.
The verdict is expected on June 16.
