She revealed this at the Hay Festival in Wales, according to the BBC.
73-year-old Gisèle Pelicot is at the festival to talk about her recently published autobiography, "A Tribute to Life: Shame Must Change Sides."
"I didn't think it could happen, especially at my age. I didn't really want to fall in love, but life decided otherwise," she said when interviewed on stage at the literary festival.
Her ex-husband, Dominique Pelicot, is serving a 20-year prison sentence in France for drugging and raping Gisèle Pelicot over many years and allowing around 50 other men to rape her.
