Early on Thursday morning, the Palestinian civil defense in Gaza reported that twelve civilians had been killed during the hours after midnight.
Three girls and their father are said to have been killed when their home in the Nuseirat refugee camp was hit in an air raid.
Their bodies were found under the rubble after the house that the occupation bombed in Nuseirat camp, says healthcare worker Mahmud Awad, who was involved in moving the remains.
In another attack, eight people were killed in a building in Jabalia in northern Gaza, where the Israeli military has been most active in recent months. Many more were injured there, according to the civil defense.
In total, at least 70 people were killed in attacks during a 24-hour period, the healthcare authorities in Hamas-ruled Gaza reported on Thursday morning. This means that the total death toll reported by the authorities there has risen to over 46,000 people.
Among several attacks on Wednesday, at least one was directed against a large tent camp for fleeing Palestinians on the coast outside the city of Khan Yunis, where five children who were in the same tent were reported to have been killed.
