The incident occurred at a school in Skåne in October 2025. The girl took a classmate into a toilet and stabbed her with a kitchen knife she had brought from home. The attack was interrupted by three other students, who managed to pull the girl holding the knife away.
Since the girl is too young to be convicted of a crime, the question of guilt was decided at an evidentiary hearing, held to provide social services with a basis for implementing support and care measures.
During questioning, the girl said she was feeling very bad and stressed by all the homework and exams, and that she had planned to kill someone to avoid going to school forever.
