A minor girl is suspected of preparation for murder at school in Bålsta in Uppland.

The police were alerted on Monday morning that a person under 15 years of age was armed with a knife at a school. The knife is not believed to have been used and no one was physically injured in connection with the incident.

The police are investigating the incident as preparation for murder and the person is being held in custody.

The preliminary investigation is led by the Prosecution Authority.

A special investigation is underway because it involves a non-liable person. We are interviewing people who may have made observations of this incident, says prosecutor Sara Sundström to TT.

According to Enköpings-Posten it is a girl who made her way into a classroom with the knife. Then a teacher is said to have managed to avert the threat.
