"Words cannot describe the happiness I feel," she says in a press release.

Garbell came sixth last year at the U23 European Championships, where she set a new personal best of 67.65. She vastly improved that result in Falun. It wasn't just a one-off hit either. This series tells the story: 71.49 – 71.10 – 70.08 – 71.28 – X – 65.67.

The Swedish nomination for the European Championships this summer is 68.64. It was only one centimeter short of the international qualifying limit.

"I can't believe I threw that far. I thought it was maybe around 69, but not this far. It felt good and I felt like there was a lot in my body today," says Garbell.
