Gianni Infantino Received $1.76 Million in Secret 2024 World Cup Payments, Report Says

FIFA president Gianni Infantino, who has been embroiled in scandals, has had his salary doubled, according to an investigation by the British newspaper The Times, Aftonbladet reports.

In addition to compensation from the International Football Association Board (FIFA), Infantino has also been paid by the company that organized the 2026 World Cup, according to US tax documents.

In 2024 alone, he was paid $1.76 million (17.6 million kronor) - money that was kept secret.

FIFA publishes Gianni Infantino's salary, bonus and other compensation from the organization.

In 2025, FIFA reported that Infantino earned 57 million kronor (about $5.4 million).

Infantino has been heavily criticized after a failed proposal to sell shares in the men's World Cup to generate additional revenue for football, and calls for his resignation have been directed at him.
