The album "Skeletá" by the Swedish metal band Ghost from Linköping takes over the top spot on the album chart in the USA and pushes "SOS with SZA down to second place.

It is the first time since Ace of Base became number one with their record "The sign" that any Swedish artist or group has been number one on the album chart in the USA.

Ghost with singer Tobias Forge in the role as Papa Emeritus reaches the top spot thanks to strong vinyl sales. A whole 89 percent of the music that has been bought with the group in the USA last week has been in the form of physical copies.

"Skeletá" becomes the first rock album in almost five years that tops the album chart in the USA. The last time it happened was with "Power up" by AC/DC, in November 2020.

On May 22 and 23, Ghost will come to Linköping and Sandviken, respectively, on their world tour, which later in the summer will take them to the USA, where they will have a concert at the classic Madison Square Garden in New York.
