After 21 months, Linn Gestblom will make a comeback in biathlon. She is registered for this weekend's premiere in Idre.

Linn Gestblom's last biathlon competition was the World Championships in Nove Mesto in February 2024. Immediately afterwards, she underwent surgery on her left shoulder. However, the problems with the shoulder continued and she therefore refrained from competing during the last season – and underwent another operation at the beginning of the year.

A few weeks ago she had pain in her right shoulder and had to sit out the national team camp in Idre. In an interview with TT she spoke about the comeback, given the new shoulder problems.

I hope to be back and have enough time to train before it starts. At the same time, I don't think the comeback is coming too soon.

She doesn't think it's particularly nerve-wracking considering the long absence.

It's the same every year, just as it should be, a little uncertain. That's a bit of the charm, she said.

Gestblom competed in roller biathlon earlier this fall.
