Germany's Inflation Rate Drops to 2.0 Percent in May

Germany's inflation rate fell in May, the final figures show this morning.

Inflation in Germany – Europe's largest economy – fell to 2.0 percent according to preliminary calculations and compared to the same period the previous year. This is in line with the preliminary statistics that predicted an inflation of 2.0 percent.

Last month, the inflation was at an annual rate of 2.1 percent.
