The index, which measures the outlook for economic development, rose to 26.3. Analysts had expected 15.3, according to Bloomberg. In June, the corresponding index was 10.5.
The current sub-index rose to minus 77.6. This compares with minus 81.0 in June and an average forecast of minus 77.7 for July.
