German man extradited to Sweden and arrested on suspicion of murdering partner

A German man in his 30s has been arrested on suspicion of murdering his partner at a summer house outside Hultsfred, Barometern reports.

The man was arrested in absentia in mid-August and was wanted internationally. German police arrested him the same day. He has now been extradited to Sweden and was arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder and gross violation of the peace.

During the hearing, he denied murder but admitted to ordinary criminal trespass.

He has given a detailed account in a lengthy police interrogation, his defense lawyer Daniel Möller tells TT.

The woman was found dead in Hultsfred Municipality in early August. She is suspected of having been murdered at the man’s summer house.

Now we will question him, check the information he provides and see if it is correct, senior prosecutor Linda Caneus tells Barometern.
