The now 41-year-old doctor, identified as “Johannes M,” is accused of killing twelve women and three men between September 2021 and July 2024, when he worked as a doctor in the German capital.
Investigators fear that the doctor, a specialist in palliative medicine, may have been behind even more deaths.
In several of the cases, he is also accused of setting fire to the victims' homes to hide his crimes.
