Just over a week before the announcement of this year's Nobel Prize winners in literature, it is the Australian author Gerald Murnane who is in the top at the betting company Betsson.
Worth noting is that last year's winner, Han Kang, was not included among Betsson's favorites.
Neither did Carsten Palmer Schale, writer for the magazine Opulens, bet on Han Kang. Carsten Palmer Schale did, however, manage to hit Abdulrazak Gurnah, who in 2021 was a relatively unknown author in Sweden.
Carsten Palmer Schale believes this year in César Aira from Argentina.
The productive Aira has published more than 120 books, many of which are short novels about odd people.
Betting company Unibet chose last year to stop betting on the Nobel Prize winner in literature because one considered the risk that someone would leak the name in advance to be too great.
